Finding budget-friendly accommodation for a family in San Francisco isn’t the easiest thing in the world. Our brief was trickier than usual: we were looking for a place to accommodate all 3 of us, plus a separate room for my mother who was visiting us during our family’s USA roadtrip, ideally with some outside space so we could have some relaxing days. So when it was time to plan our week by the Bay, we decided to look further afield and stay in one of the city’s surrounding areas, figuring it would be less expensive and we’d get more for our money. After scrolling for what seemed like hours, we finally spotted Pippin’s Cottage and couldn’t believe our luck. Despite looking too good to be true, we booked it immediately! The communication with the owner Kathryn couldn’t have been better. We were given a comprehensive guide to the house, and surrounding area as well as really detailed instructions on how to get there.
