Whenever I visit a big city, I always make an effort to go beyond the city limits, and see what the surrounding areas have to offer. If you’re even just a little bit like me, you’ll love San Francisco. We felt like we had hit the jackpot, as during our week-long stay in San Francisco we stayed in a secluded and magical house in the woods near Sausalito. It gave us a great chance to explore what’s on this side of the bridge, including the postcard-perfect Muir Beach and the picturesque seaside town of Sausalito. The famous San Francisco foggy weather was there, enveloping the landscape in a moody dreamscape, full of earthy tones. I find this sort of weather creates layers of stories and emotions that are so starkly different from a sunny day, when no one seems to have a care in the world. We spent the morning at the beach, driving around and exploring what we saw along, including this fantastic row of dozens of mailboxes on the side of the road.
